5 Heavenly Destinations to Visit This Summer

And the ultimate wardrobe to go with it

by

Summer is here and temperatures are rising, which means summer holidays are already on everyone’s mind. Whilst any idea of a holiday was put to an abrupt stop due to the pandemic last year, this year things are looking pretty promising.

With flight schedules increasing and opening more destinations up, it really does feel like we can slowly start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Whether it may be for a romantic getaway, a three-day break with the boys or just a simple solo escape; if you’re a border-jumping traveler now is the time to start thinking of where you should be heading next.

After almost a year and half of our lives being on hold, we’ve gathered a couple of holiday destinations for you to (strongly) consider once the time’s right. From Morocco to the Maldives, here’s the ultimate guide to some of the globe’s best destinations to visit this summer.

Of course, no vacation is complete without a complete wardrobe to go with it. So, if you’re wondering what to pack, we’ve teamed up with Italian retailer Yoox to make it all that much easier for you.

Lake Como, Italy

Also known as Lario, Lake Como is situated at the foot of the Alps providing you with one of the most breathtaking views in the world. Crystal clear, the lake’s water is believed to be from glacial origin and the city is also home to some of the region’s most beautiful types of architecture and textures of colours. Ideal spot for a getaway with bae, you won’t regret giving the Italian resort a try.

What to wear

Tangiers, Morocco

With views giving onto Spain, Tangiers is one of Morocco’s best vacation spots. Giving access to both the Mediterranean and Atlantic sea, the city that was once part of the Spanish empire is now one of the best places to visit the Moorish kingdom’s rich history and culture. Our advice? To make sure to pass by Villa Mabrouka, Yves Saint Laurent’s former home in the northern province.

What to wear

Paphos, Cyprus

Located at the south of Turkey, north of Egypt and right in the middle of the Mediterranean; Cyprus is a cocktail of cultures and a blend of summery flavours that you need to see for yourself. The coastal city of Paphos is also a historical hub to visit and travel through time via its ancient ruins.

What to wear

El Gouna, Egypt

On the Red Sea’s west coast, El Gouna is a manmade resort developed from the 1990’s onwards. Mixing high-temperatures, luxurious hotels and unbeatable sea activities, the city-size marina is definitely a destination to keep at the top of your list.

What to wear

Maldives

The list would not be complete without one of the most sought-after summer destinations in the Indian Ocean. Private luxury bungalows, remote lagoons and white-sand beaches, the archipelago has so much to offer when it comes to water sports from surfing and paddling to scuba diving.
