House of Gucci is Almost Here and We Can’t Wait

Where style, money and power all meet

Is there anything Lady Gaga cannot do? The American singer solidified herself as a reputable actress with her role in A Star is Born,  and she’s making her way to the big screen once again in Ridley Scott’s sulphurous House of Gucci—and we can’t wait to watch.

Gaga stars as Maurizio Gucci’s ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, with the film focussing on his controversial murder which she was charged with in 1998. Set in the mid-1990’s, the feverish biopic follows the Italian brand’s former designer on a nail-biting thriller exploring how, why and when Guccio Gucci’s grandson (Maurizio) found death at the expense of his former spouse.

Based on Saray Gay Forden’s investigative novel The House of Gucci, A Sensational Story of Murder, Ridley Scott’s latest cinematic endeavour is surely one you want to make sure not to miss. The trailer, which dropped earlier last week, has offered fashion enthusiasts a first taste to the upcoming, and much anticipated, shocking true story – and it has got the internet go understandably mad.

First appearance in theatres since academy awarded A Star is Born, Lady Gaga will not be the only A-list name to feature on screen. Accompanied by no other than the needless to introduce Al Paccino, Adam Driver, Salma Hayek and Jared Leto to name just a few; the movie is packed in talent and retro looks which could make any of us want to go back the nineties in a heartbeat (just for the fits though).

Scheduled to release this November, the blood-stained story that mingles money, power and greed is surely one that we’ll be not tired of hearing of.
