Iconic Egyptian Actress Soad Hosny Gets Her Own Channel

This UAE-based network is paying major homage

Dubbed ‘Egypt’s Cinderella’, Soad Hosny is as legendary as it gets. And the actress is now being honored in the best way possible.

Due to air until September 13, a pop-up channel entirely dedicated to the late actress (housed on UAE-based television network, OSN) will continously play Hosny’s films. Yes, you read that correct, there will be an entire channel dedicated to her films. The actress, who tragically died in London in 2001, starred in more than 80 films throughout her career, with roles in iconic films like ‘Al Ashqiya al Thalatha, Bir El Herman, and Khaly Balek Min Zouzou cementing the late actress as a primary figure in Egypt’s cinematic golden age, alongside the likes of Faten Hamama and Omar Sharif.

OSN will air 35 of Soad Hosny’s best films, which will also be available to stream as well on the network’s streaming app.
