Iconic rap crew A$AP MOB have officially announced disbanding after almost two decades of existence. Through three mixtapes— Lords Never Worry (2012), Cozy Tapes 1: Friends (2016) and Cozy Tapes 2: Too Cozy (2017)— the collective heavily influenced music and global fashion in the early 2010s with many members of the group leaving their mark through a distinctive style that’s now become synonymous with modern hip-hop culture.

In a recent interview, mob-member A$AP Ferg took the internet by storm by announcing the band’s end, declaring that “(A$AP Mob) is a thing of the past.” Confirming what many have been speculating for years, it had been a while since fans had heard, or seen, of the group working together as one cohesive unit.

Often compared to Liverpool’s Mo Salah, Egyptian football sensation Omar Marmoush is rumored to make a move from his current side Eintracht Frankfurt to British Premier League giants Manchester City. Arguably one of the most prolific, and exciting, players to watch since the beginning of the ongoing season, a move to the 2023 UEFA Champions League winners could take the 25-year-old to new heights and try compete with Salah’s title of most successful and impacting Egyptian player to have played in England’s top flight.

Though no deal has been inked just yet, Marmoush, City and Frankfurt have until Feb. 3, 2025 to find a mutual agreement, unless a move during the summer transfer window is preferred. No further details have been communicated regarding his signing fee, duration of contract or potential wages.
