When Majid Jordan took the stage in Dubai and Bahrain for the final leg of their Good People World Tour, it was a full circle moment. For Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, these shows were personal and deeply meaningful, tying together their journey as a duo with the places and people that shaped them. “Coming home now, after such a long time, to perform an album that we completed on the island, is an incredible feeling, and it’s something we felt was our responsibility,” Majid Jordan shared with MILLE.
Majid Jordan’s story is the kind you don’t think actually happens to people in real life: two kids, one from Bahrain and the other from Canada, have a chance encounter in Toronto while at university, start making music together in dorm rooms, and a few years later, find themselves working with Drake. Their breakout came in 2013 when they co-wrote and featured on Hold On, We’re Going Home, catapulting them into the spotlight and landing them a deal with OVO Sound.

Since then, the duo has released four projects, blending R&B, electronic, and pop influences into music that sounds just as good on the dance floor as it does during a quiet drive afterhours (pun intended). Tracks like My Love with Drake and A Place Like This have made them a mainstay for anyone who appreciates lush, atmospheric soundscapes. Their latest album, Good People, partly recorded in Bahrain, feels especially personal, infused with the kind of introspection that only comes when you’re working somewhere that feels like home. For Al Maskati, being back in Bahrain to create wasn’t just about music, but about reconnecting with his roots and letting that energy flow into the work.
That connection came full circle during these Middle Eastern shows, which were some of the most anticipated performances of their career. Although they’ve played in Bahrain before, this return felt different. “There have been so many incredible, intimate moments,” The duo shared.

Their presence in the region wasn’t limited to the stage, either. Today marks the online launch of their collaboration with Shabab Intl., a UAE-based label helmed by Iraqi-Canadian fraternal twins Chebmoha and Zainab Hasoon. The friendship dates back to 2019 when the duo met Chebmoha in Dubai, sparking a connection that eventually turned into this collection. Inspired by classical horse paintings common in the Gulf, the merch is a love letter to their shared experiences growing up around horses in Bahrain and Calgary. “Creating something together was always a dream of ours,” they shared.
The collaboration includes two exclusive graphic tees, retailing for 250 AED/SAR on Shabab’s website. The first, a clean white tee, features “Shabab,” “Majid Jordan,” “Dubai,” and “Bahrain” written in Arabic on the front. The back showcases Shabab and Majid Jordan’s logos, a sunset graphic inspired by their latest album cover, and the Dubai and Bahrain tour dates. The second design, in sleek black, depicts two galloping black horses with a futuristic cityscape rising dramatically in the background. On the back, “Shabab” appears in bold Arabic text, with the tour dates and venues listed below in crisp white lettering.
Speaking of the tour; while it might be over, Majid Jordan isn’t slowing down. Their new single Life 2 has been a standout at live shows, and their feature with Colombian artist Feid, Again, is steady gaining attention. They’re hinting at more music next year, and if the past is any indication, it’s going to be worth the wait.
