Inside Dior’s Star-Studded Surrealist Masquerade Ball

Everything about the evening of the Year

On Monday night, Dior threw their infamous Masquerade Ball. For this year’s edition, the event was inspired by the latest couture collection from Maria Grazia Chiuri, which surrounded themes of Surrealism, as quoted in the show notes “Because haute couture is a dream of fashion. It’s a place where there are no limits to pushing boundaries and experimenting with technique, material and form.”

The party, which was held in the gardens of Musée Rodin, was the talk of Paris – with a giant chessboard at the entrance, performance artists and decadent shows, it was quite literally a surrealist dream.

Whilst last year’s ball saw everyone from A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg in attendance, this year saw Dior model Bella Hadid with BFFs Luka Sabbat and Winnie Harlow in tow—all with their faces concealed by extravagant couture masks their faces in extravagant masks gowns—whilst Willow Smith surprised the crowd with a show-stopping performance.
