Jacquemus is Giving Free Online Fashion Lessons

From business to culture, log on and learn from your sofa

With schools all over the world closing for the foreseeable future, education has gone completely online—including the world-renowned Parisian fashion school, Institut Français de la Mode. But luckily for us, this means that we’re getting access to some of the world’s greatest designers.

Jacquemus will now be leading a free online class entitled ‘Understanding Fashion: From Business to Culture’, which will kick off on March 30. The lesson will see Simon Porte Jacquemus share his expertise with anyone who is willing to join.

He’s also not alone. The online class will also see some of fashion’s biggest heavyweights share their wisdom.

Among them are Christelle Kocher, founder and designer behind French label Koché, designer Sir Paul Smith, Francesca Belletini, CEO of Saint Laurent. Guillaume de Seynes, who is the Managing Director at Hermés, Bruno Pavovsky, President of Fashion Activities at Chanel, and Sidney Toledano, CEO of LVMH Fashion Group.

The course will be lead by professor Benjamin Simmenaur, who recently co-authored a book by the name Les Grands Textes de La Mode, and will be presented in English. If that’s not your native language, don’t worry; the course will also be subtitled in several other languages.

The course will go on for a total of four weeks, and all you have to do to join is register on FutureLearn.
