Underground Party Series JellyZone Set to Move Cairo Once More

3KS3KA$ is back

Since JellyZone’s inception in 2017, the underground party series has gone from strength to strength, periodically delivering bass heavy events throughout the years  all while championing the sounds of Shaabi producer Molotof, giving Marwan Pablo his first ever live show, and nurturing some of Cairo’s best up and coming DJ talent.

Founder Donia Shohdy has developed the underground scene of Egypt’s capital in a way that promotes good music and a safe space to party in, giving both partygoers and performers alike the freedom to push the boundaries, and explore new sounds and spaces in a secure environment.

Anticipation is high as Cairo prepares once again to dance hard once more with3KS3KA$ Vol. 2, which is taking place on the Nov. 4 in an open-air venue on the banks of the river Nile.

Following 3KS3KA$’s launch in October 2021, which featured Palestinian producer Al Nather and techno king Hassan Abou Alam on the line up, the event series is back once again, this time entitled “From Casablanca To Cairo,” with Moroccan rap legend Issam headlining the event, and a line up featuring some of the creme de la creme of local talent, namely trap Shaabi producer El-Waili, 200 Shams, Yasmeen Selectress, and Ashrar, not to forget resident DJ A7ba-L-Jelly.

For newcomers to the world of JellyZone, it’s important to note that the concept behind each event is just as important as the line up. Every iteration has a unique set and visuals, this time around Young Nada is in the driving seat, promising some contemporary Y2K themes providing the perfect backdrop for the show.

JellyZone has for the past few years established itself as one of the safest and frequent underground events the Egyptian capital has to offer, if you’re going to be in Cairo tonight, you have to check it out— you won’t be disappointed.
