First it was Lauryn Hill, now it’s Khalid. The American RnB singer will be performing in Bahrain as part of the upcoming F1 Grand Prix weekend.
To kick it off, Grammy-award winning DJ Afrojack will take the stage on March 19. Closing it out will be the chart-topping Dutch EDM DJ Don Diablo, followed by Khalid, who will hit the stage on March 20.
“We are so proud to be announcing a mega artist such as Khalid to our concert line-up for this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix,” says Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, CEO of the Bahrain International Circuit.
“I have no doubt that fans are as excited as we are to be welcoming Khalid to Bahrain for his regional debut. Saturday night of the race weekend is definitely going to be one to remember,” he continued.
Khalid, who took the world by storm with his now five-time platinum song ‘Location’, has yet to perform in the region. His show in Bahrain will be his first performance in the Middle East.
The singer released his sophomore album ‘Free Spirit’ in 2019, which has since been certified platinum and scored him a Grammy nomination for his single ‘Talk’ – and yes, you can expect to hear the hit at his Bahrain concert.
