It’s a lineup that just keeps giving. Just when we thought MDLBEAST’s Soundstorm had revealed it all, they just dropped another big surprise. Linkin Park, the American band who gave us emotionally-charged bangers like In the End and Numb, is officially joining the festival. Set to perform on Dec. 12 in Riyadh’s Banban Desert, the band will no doubt deliver an electrifying performance packed with hits that defined an entire generation.
For those less familiar with the band, Linkin Park was formed in 1996 in California by founding members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon, who shared a passion for blending rock and hip-hop. The late Chester Bennington joined later, bringing his iconic haunting vocals to the mix, which became a signature of the band’s sound. Since Bennington’s passing in 2017, Linkin Park has continued to honor his legacy, bringing new life to their music with the addition of Emily Armstrong, as well as through select performances and new releases.
With a massive fanbase across the globe, including in Saudi Arabia, Linkin Park’s presence at MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2024 is shaping up to be an unmissable night of energy and nostalgia. And they’re in great company too, with a stacked lineup of global headliners across multiple stages that includes 30 Seconds to Mars, Adriatique, Afrojack, Agents of Time, Akon, Armin Van Buuren, Black Coffee, Boris Brejcha, Brina Knauss, Chelina Manuhutu, David Guetta, DJ Snake, G-Eazy, Eminem, Fleur Shore, Marco Carola, Morten, Richie Hawtin, R3hab, Muse, and Tyler, the Creator.
Soundstorm is also shining a light on the region’s own talents, with local artists like Anmarz, Baloo, Butch, and Dorar. Tickets are available for purchase online–though probably not for long with the addition of Linkin Park to the lineup. Our advice? Grab them while you still can.
