We have good news for all watch collectors who failed to secure the newly released collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Swatch on May 16. Louis Vuitton has officially announced the expansion of its Color Blossom collection into watchmaking for the very first time, offering a rather elegant consolation prize.
Introduced over a decade ago, the Color Blossom line has since become one of the Maison’s more recognizable fine jewelry propositions, largely thanks to its playful use of the Monogram Flower motif across rings, pendants, bracelets, and earrings carved from materials such as mother-of-pearl, malachite, amazonite, and onyx. Now, that same visual language is making its way onto wrists through a new series of jewelry watches.
Unveiled through a campaign starring Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas, the collection debuts four models sculpted around—yes, you guessed it— the House’s Monogram Flower motif too, with iterations appearing in steel, rose gold, amazonite, white mother-of-pearl, and diamond-set finishes.
No official release date has been announced just yet, though the campaign starring Ana de Armas is set to launch across print and digital platforms on May 29. If that rollout is any indication of what’s to come, then Louis Vuitton may have unintentionally timed the release perfectly for Eid gifting season.
