Calling all Majid Jordan fans: the Canadian-Bahraini R&B duo is bringing the heat to Dubai and Bahrain this November as part of the second leg of their Good People world tour. Known for their broody, signature Toronto sound that they’ve honed over the years, the group will light up the Dubai Opera stage on Nov. 22 before heading to Bahrain’s Al Dana Amphitheatre on Nov. 24.

Majid Jordan shared the news on Instagram, writing: “Good People Live Part II. Looking forward to seeing you in all the places you thought we forgot!”

Majid Jordan, made up of Bahraini vocalist Majid Al Maskati and Canadian producer Jordan Ullman, first made waves when they teamed up with Drake on the chart-topping track Hold On, We’re Going Home. That game-changing collaboration catapulted them into the spotlight, earning them a spot on OVO, Drake’s record label.

Last year, the Canadian R&B duo dropped their fourth studio album, Good People, their first project after a two-year hiatus. The nine-track album includes a surprise feature from their label-mate Naomi Sharon on Waiting For You. During a conversation with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Majid Jordan revealed that half of the album was recorded in Al Maskati’s native Bahrain.

“I think we really knew where we wanted to make the album. I think we wanted to make half of it in Toronto and half of it in Bahrain. And we’ve never done that before and we did it on this one,” Ullman recalled.

“It was 10 years in the making for me because that’s where I was born,” Al Maskati added. “And our first album that we made under the name Good People we made here in Toronto. And I was with Jordan’s family while we were making that because I didn’t have any family here. And this time we got to do that in my hometown. And he got to come over, meet everybody, meet the family, create, meet the people, get to know the culture. People are very generous and welcoming. They want to show you the best time, they host you well. So we got so much love and I think that love fed into the music that you’re hearing on this project… I’ve lived away from home since I was 17 years old. It would be beautiful to bring this energy back there and make something that we can then share with the world.”

It will be the duo’s first-ever concert in the UAE. Meanwhile, tickets to see Majid Jordan in Dubai went on sale online yesterday.
