Mark Your Calendars: H&M is Teaming Up With Glenn Martens For Next Designer Collaboration

soooo excited for this one

Hotly-anticipated doesn’t even begin to describe it: Glenn Martens is H&M’s next designer collaboration partner. The news was revealed on-stage at BoF VOICES 2024 on Wednesday. The hotly-anticipated line is set to hit shelves in fall 2025.

The Swedish retail giant’s designer collaboration series is now in its 21st year. Each year, fashion fanatics anticipate news of the retailer’s newest designer collaboration, the first of which was with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004. The 41-year-old designer known for his work at Diesel and Y/Project follows in the footsteps of a long list of high-profile designer collaborators from Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing in 2015 to Mugler’s Casey Cadwallader and Rabanne in 2023.

While not much has been revealed about the upcoming collaboration, we can expect lots of distressed denim, trompe l’oeil designs, and avant-garde and boundary-pushing pieces. The retailer said it’s “a landmark partnership” with the Belgium-born designer who’s “known for testing the boundaries between streetwear and couture and will bring his creative vision to H&M” for the AW25 season.

The news comes just after Martens announced his unexpected departure from Y/Project earlier this year. He continues to spearhead Diesel as the brand’s creative director, a position he’s held since 2020.
