A powerhouse in Saudi Arabia, MDLBEAST knows no limits when it comes to throwing events on its home turf. But in recent years, the music company stretched its reach across the region — heading to Tunis, Amman, Cairo, Abu Dhabi — and now, for the very first time, Marrakech.

For its sophomore edition in the Maghreb, the entertainment company will bring its Xchange and Hunna programs to Morocco, taking place across 48 hours between Oct. 9-10 at The Source Marrakech Hotel.

Xchange is an annual series of events held across the Arab World, in which workshops, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions are held, aiming at providing participants, most notably aspiring music workers, to learn more about the industry while improving their skill set.

Hunna, on the other hand, provides mentorship and visibility for women in music, offering resources for them to share stories and claim their spot in the scene.

For this iteration, the onus will be placed on the Hunna Listening Circle, “the Foundation’s women-led initiative dedicated to amplifying female talent across the MENA music industry.”

Bringing the two under one roof, this edition will see cultural entrepreneur Nassereddine Akel, chart-topping singer Manal Benchlikha, and seasoned music industry professional Mattieu Corosine share their experience and expertise with up-and-coming artists, producers, managers, and beyond.

“Through Hunna, we are creating spaces where women in music feel supported, visible, and empowered,” said Nada Alhelabi, General Manager of the MDLBEAST Foundation. “Marrakech’s vibrant cultural heritage makes it the perfect setting to expand our XCHANGE initiative, and we’re thrilled to partner with The Source Marrakech Hotel and GOATS Production to make it possible,” she added.

After Morocco, Xchange is set to land its bags in Riyadh, Manama, and Doha.
