Undeniably one of the most exciting brands to emerge from our region in recent years, Libyan label Medina has been on a serious run, slowly shedding its underground status as more and more people catch on. And with every release generating more noise than the last, founder Mabruk Ali is wasting no time capitalizing on the brand’s current momentum. So, ahead of the brand’s next collection launch, two pop-ups—one in London and the other in Paris—will host shoppers and long-standing fans of the brand, offering them both an early look at what the brand has been cooking up over the past few months.
The UK-based label will first stop in London from June 11–14 before heading to Paris for two days, from June 25–26, coinciding with Paris Men’s Fashion Week in the French capital. At the center of both events will be Sediment, Medina’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, an 18-piece offering that appears to build on the visual language making the Libyan label one of the region’s most closely watched.
“London and Paris are cities that have always been part of the Medina story; we’ve done pop-ups in both before and the reception has meant a lot. With Sediment, it feels like the right moment to go deeper in both places. The goal is simple: get the collection in front of people properly. Not just to sell, but to share what we’ve been working on and expand the world we’re building around the brand,” Ali told MILLE about both events before shedding more light on the collection itself.
“Sediment is centred around Kantha — a handmade fabric from India built from layers of reclaimed textile, stitched by hand. Every bolt is different, which means every piece we’ve made is one of one. But the collection goes beyond that. We’ve brought in other fabrics and details alongside the Kantha that we’re really excited about — combinations and ideas that are better experienced in person than explained. The design, the silhouettes, the way we’ve worked with these materials — it all comes together in a way that we think speaks for itself when you’re standing in front of it,” he added, explaining wanting to immerse guests into the universe of this new line.
“A lot of people coming through won’t have encountered Kantha before. That’s actually one of the most exciting parts. This is a fabric that you really have to see and feel in person — the texture, the detail, the way every single piece is different. You can’t get that from a screen. I want people to come in, take their time with the pieces, and leave with a genuine understanding of what this collection is and why it matters to us. Inspired and informed — that’s the feeling,” he continued.
From what we know, the London pop-up will feature a lineup of special guests, a musical performance courtesy of Algerian-Tunisian DJ Cheb Mimo, and other community-led programmings designed to bring Medina’s world to life beyond the clothes themselves. And if the Parisian edition is anything like its British counterpart, you can also expect it to function as more than just a retail event, most likely doubling into a gathering point for the growing community that has formed around the brand as well.
For those unable to make it to Paris or London this month, the collection will also drop online via Medina’s official website on June 28 at 7 p.m.
