Mo Salah’s Daughter, Makka, to Star in Upcoming Ramadan Series

well done!

What a season Mo Salah is having. Already on track to break several records–including most goals scored in a Premier League season and most assists by a player in a Premier League season— the Egyptian-striker is now seeing his own daughter, Makka, hit a milestone of her own as she’ll be making her on-screen debut this month.

Starring in an upcoming Egyptian series scheduled to hit screens during Ramadan, from what we know, the 10-year-old is expected to make a guest appearance in the third season of Khaled El-Halafawy’s Kamel El Adad. Cast along with a plethora of Egyptian stars, from Dina El-Sherbiny and Sherif Salama, to Hussein Fahmy, Engy Al-Mokadem, and Mariam al-Khost, the show tells the story of a couple and their children as they navigate life, everyday situations, and their personal relationships with humor and heart. So far, no further information has been teased about the role Makka will play or the extent of her involvement in the series’ third installment.

Born in 2014, Mo Salah’s daughter is the eldest of two siblings, with her sister Kayan born in 2020. Following in her father’s footsteps toward stardom, only time will tell if this guest appearance marks the beginning of a longer career, or whether she will choose to keep a lower profile and focus on just being a child. Though she’s rarely seen online and has largely stayed out of the spotlight— a deliberate decision that her parents have made to give her a more private childhood— that may soon be changing depending on how this first experience in front of cameras goes.
