Moroccan Cuisine is Crowned as World’s Best

can we put an end to these petty fights now?

A few weeks ago, renowned media platform Pubity asked its followers to vote for which cuisine is the world’s best. Now the verdict is officially in, with Moroccan cuisine coming out on top.

With over 2.5 million participants, the North African country’s food beat Mexico’s by quite a landslide, securing 60% of the votes. The results, which were unveiled on July 16, were revealed in a collaborative post on Instagram between Pubity and award-winning British chef Gordon Ramsey who gave his seal of approval on the Arab Kingdom’s cuisine.

“My last time in Morocco, in the Atlas Mountains with the Berbers, I got the amazing chance to cook that delicious chicken rfissa,” Ramsey said in the short clip, adding that it is one of his “favorite all-time dishes.”

In what has since been labeled as Pubity’s biggest “You Decide” poll—a series where they ask their 38.9 million Instagram followers to settle debates such as who is the greatest rapper of all time or if Christopher Nolan is the best Hollywood director— Pubity’s contest results were widely celebrated by Moroccans across social media.

Here are some of our favorite social media posts since the announcement.
