Winning a fashion prize can quite literally catapult your career.
In a bid to support fashion’s next generation of talent, Netflix and NET-A-PORTER just announced the first edition of ‘Next in Fashion’, a 10-episode competition series that features some of the most exciting and forward-thinking young designers from around the world, debuting on January 29.
“We are delighted to work with NETFLIX on ‘Next In Fashion,’ awarding $250,000 and the opportunity to be stocked at NET-A-PORTER to an incredibly deserving talent. ‘Next in Fashion’ further showcases our long-term support of global fashion talent”, said Elizabeth von der Goltz, NET-A-PORTER’s Global Buying Director in a statement.
The nominees include 18 exciting names such as, Chinese rising talent Angel Chen (who already collaborated with H&M), LA-based Ashton Hirota (who dresses Lizzo, Post Malone and Ciara to name a few) and Fiorucci’s menswear artistic director Daniel Fletcher.
The hosts Tan France and Alexa Chung will welcome a myriad of guest judges like Christopher Kane, Tommy Hilfiger and Prabal Gurung.
