Nicki Minaj to Perform in Saudi Arabia

Inside the kingdom's concert of the year

Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports Stadium is the place to be this July 18. Trinidad-born, American rapper Nicki Minaj is officially making her way there for a performance for the first time.

The move comes as part of Jeddah Word Festival at the stadium, and will be joined by former One Directioner Liam Payne, and EDM DJ Steve Aoki for a concert. The festival marks the first of its kind in the Kingdom, which previously banned concerts all together, lifting the ban just over a year ago as part of initiatives spearheaded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Since, the kingdom has seen the likes of the Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey and Nancy Ajram take the stage. Nicki Minaj will make history be the first rapper to perform in Saudi Arabia.

For those in the region looking to attend, the process is now easier than ever. The kingdom is offering quick online visas for international visitors.
