Noor Stars has gone from asking Charlotte Tilbury to make a loose powder to becoming the face of the product itself. The Iraqi creator stars in the beauty brand’s latest global Airbrush Flawless campaign, making her the first creator from the region to feature in a worldwide Charlotte Tilbury campaign. She joins a pretty eclectic cast that includes Jerry Hall, Grace Van Patten, Leni Klum, Duckie Thot, Song Wenyao, Lola Indigo, and Louane, with the campaign drawing inspiration from the fast-paced fashion and beauty editorials of the ’90s.
For Noor, though, there’s a particularly satisfying full-circle element. Several years ago, she made a video wishing Charlotte Tilbury would launch a loose powder, and now she’s helping introduce the new Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder alongside the Airbrush Flawless Blush Blur. “It’s such a surreal full-circle moment,” she said of the campaign.
The loose powder promises the blurred, soft-focus finish the Airbrush Flawless line has become known for, with up to 24-hour oil and shine control, while the new blush is designed to smooth and blur while giving skin a more natural flush. But Noor’s casting arguably says more than another celebrity beauty campaign normally would. Arab creators have spent years building enormous audiences that global beauty brands are eager to sell to, so seeing one of the region’s biggest names move from customer and content creator to the face of an international campaign feels long overdue.
The new products are available now, with the loose powder priced at AED 240 and the blush at AED 190 in the UAE.
