Underway since Nov. 1, French jewelry house Chaumet is currently hosting an exhibition dedicated to all the wonderful aspects of nature. Held at M7, a venue located in Msheireb Downtown Doha, Chaumet & Nature: Nature-Inspired Jewellery Since 1780, is the fruit of a collaboration between Chaumet, Qatar Museums, M7, and local cultural platform Qatar Creates.
Running until Nov. 19, the temporary exhibition continues Chaumet’s tradition of honoring nature through themed retrospectives. The showcase includes nearly 107 jewelry pieces and 111 visual works—such as glass plates and drawings—offering guests a glimpse into 240 years of naturalism.
Organized into several distinct chapters, the exhibition guides guests through the Maison’s unique artistic philosophy, encouraging them to preserve, sketch, observe, live, and immerse themselves in the matter at hand. Featuring Chaumet’s celebrated collections alongside treasures from Qatar Museums, Chaumet & Nature commemorates a long-standing relationship between these institutions dating back to the 1970s. This exhibition also serves as a legacy project of the Qatar–France 2020 Year of Culture, a program promoting cultural exchange and collaboration across both nations.
