A big congratulations are in order for Rami Al Ali. The Syrian designer officially joins the select club of haute couture houses.
The couturier has been invited to join the official Haute Couture calendar by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. He is the first Syrian designer to be granted the haute couture tag, marking a major milestone for the eponymous brand. He is now one of the few fashion houses that are officially on the haute couture calendar, including established labels such as Dior and Chanel as well as fellow Arab label, Maison Rabih Kayrouz, which was granted haute couture status in 2019.
Rami Al Ali will present his Fall 2025 Couture collection on July 10 during Paris Haute Couture Week. His upcoming collection will pay tribute to his roots and celebrate the richness of Syrian craft, marking an exciting new chapter in a career that’s all about heart, heritage, and high fashion.
Born in Syria and now based in Dubai, Al Ali studied Visual Arts at the Damascus School of Fine Arts before diving into the fashion world between Beirut and the UAE. He launched his namesake label in 2001, and since then, his designs have graced everyone from Beyoncé and J.Lo to Naomi Campbell and Aishwarya Rai.
Blending classic silhouettes with a modern edge, the designer has carved out a unique space in the world of couture. His pieces are all about structure, craft, and timeless beauty—and they’ve been featured in just about every major fashion magazine out there. Over the years, his brand has expanded to include Couture, Ready-to-Wear, Bridal, and the minimalist White collection, all staying true to his signature attention to detail.
As he gets ready to take the Paris stage this July, one thing’s certain: this moment has been a long time coming, and it’s only the beginning.
