Business of Fashion hailed rappers ‘Fashion’s New Royalty’ back in 2018, and the statement still stands true. Just this week, Cardi B became the face of Balenciaga, starring in the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2020 campaign.
The move marks the first time a celebrity has fronted a campaign for the house since Demna Gvasalia’s appointment in 2015.
