Lebanese Actress Razane Jammal to Star in New Netflix Drama

You’ll want to keep tabs on ‘The Sandman’

Of Netflix’s upcoming series, The Sandman is one we’re looking forward to most. That’s largely because Lebanese actress Razane Jammal has just been announced as part of the cast.

The actress, who made her debut on the streaming giant last year as Maggie Mckillop in the Egyptian series Paranormal, will be joined by Jenna Coleman, Niamh Walsh, Joely Richardson, David Thewlis, Kyo Ra, Stephen Fry, Sandra James Young and Patton Oswalt as part of the cast.

The series is based on Neil Gaiman’s comic book series of the same name, which is described as “rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven.” The Sandman follows the story of a group of people who are affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends mistakes he made throughout his existence.

Jammal is slated to play Lyta Hall, a young widow who is mourning her husband, and best friend to Rose Walker (a young woman on a search for her missing brother).

What a dream come true! Thrilled to have joined the DC family” wrote Jammal on Instagram to announce her new role.

The series’ release date is yet to be announced, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
