Saudi Arabia’s NEOM Just Got Way Cooler

A new addition NEOM’s giga-projects in northwest Saudi Arabia

If you thought Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea mega project couldn’t get any cooler, you were wrong. This week, NEOM’s Board of Directors have announced the launch of Magna, a dazzling luxury lifestyle destination on the Gulf of Aqaba coastline.

Standing as a jewel in NEOM’s crown of sustainable tourism developments, Magna will feature twelve exclusive destinations: Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gidori, Treyam, and Jaumur.

Stretching across 120 kilometers of pristine coastline, Magna promises to redefine the very essence of luxury sustainable tourism. This ambitious project, the physical manifestation of Saudi Vision 2030’s forward-thinking ethos, seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with sublime natural beauty. The project’s core philosophy revolves around the preservation and rejuvenation of the area’s natural treasures, ensuring the natural landscape remains as stunning as ever, and most importantly untampered with.

The development is composed of 15 luxury hotels, featuring 1,600 rooms, suites, and apartments, and over 2,500 premium residences designed for the discerning traveler who demands both luxury and sustainability.

Nadhmi Al-Nasr, NEOM’s CEO, says: “NEOM’s premier coastal region of Magna is a treasure of tomorrow, steeped in natural beauty and advanced technology. Aligned with our three pillars of redefining business, conservation, and livability, Magna will play a key role in building a strong tourism ecosystem within NEOM. Importantly, Magna will contribute positively to the national economic diversification efforts and to the broader Saudi Vision 2030 goals, helping to position the Kingdom as a global leader in luxury tourism.”

The new project promises to invigorate the Kingdom’s economy by creating 15,000 jobs across tourism, leisure, and hospitality sectors. By 2030, Magna is projected to inject SAR 2.6 billion into the Kingdom’s GDP, provide a home for 14,500 residents, and welcome over 300,000 overnight visitors annually. For investors and developers, Magna offers a rare opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking project where sustainability is not an afterthought but a foundational principle.

Magna joins NEOM’s illustrious lineup of giga-projects shaping northwest Saudi Arabia, standing alongside Sindalah, THE LINE, Trojena, and Oxagon.
