After having proved his worth in stand-up comedy and music, Saudi entertainer Moayad Alnefaie has now apparently set his sights on acting, having recently made a cameo in Netflix’s
The Gentlemen.
Available on the streaming service since Sept. 3, the series’ second season arrived with its expected share of plot twists and surprises, one of which came courtesy of a familiar face from the Gulf. Sharing the screen with Theo James in episode four, the 33-year-old takes on the role of Sheikh Suliman, an influential Saudi figure whose falcon plays a key part in the episode’s storyline.
Based on Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name, The Gentlemen first landed on Netflix as a series in 2024. Starring Theo James as Eddie Horniman, the show follows an aristocrat who unexpectedly inherits his family estate, only to discover that an illegal-substances empire has been operating on the property without his knowledge.
Alnefaie shared the news in perhaps the most laid-back way possible, posting a short clip of himself watching the scene from his couch with a hot cup of what we assume was tea or coffee in hand. Then again, we can’t exactly blame him for playing it cool as this latest milestone joins an already pretty long list of accomplishments for the Saudi entertainer, who has spent the better part of his career proving that there aren’t many creative lanes he isn’t willing to venture into.
The obvious question now is: where does Alnefaie go from here? Only time will tell.
