Sole DXB Announces First Wave of Headliners For 12th Edition

see you there (we hope)

A can’t-miss event in Dubai’s cultural calendar, since 2012, Sole DXB has built a cult following by becoming one of the Arab World’s main hubs for anyone  even just curious about fashion, streetwear, music, art, and beyond.

As loyal attendees gear up towards the festival’s 12th edition, organizers have just started rolling out some of the headlining names that will feature in this year’s celebration of culture. And by the looks of it, prospective ticket holders are going to be in for a treat as British electronic artist James Blake, global Afrobeats and R&B sensation Tems, and legendary hip-hop pioneers The Roots are confirmed to take the stage between Dec. 13 -15 at Dubai Design District. Through their respective performances, the three Grammy-award winning acts will also be marking their debut in Dubai, making it a huge moment for all those involved from festival-organizers, attendees, as well as the artists themselves.

“Music is a fundamental pillar of Sole DXB…it’s at the center of the community we’ve built. This year’s Main Stage headliners represent some of the best live bands from around the world, with diverse ideas and the widest selection of genres we’ve ever presented at Sole DXB.  We’re proud to bring James Blake, Tems and The Roots for their debut shows to the city we call home,” Said Rajat Malhotra, Sole DXB Partner, in a released statement.

Aside from the event’s namesake concerts, and other activations— which range from pop-up stores, industry-centered talks, sports showcases, and more— it has also been revealed that Sole DXB Off Circuit will make its return for the second year in a row, bringing the gathering’s signature energy beyond the festival’s grounds. From music to film screenings, exclusive panels, and exhibitions, a variety of activities will be happening all around the city. And while exact dates haven’t been shared just yet, we expect it to be similar to its debut launch, when events took place in the week leading up to Sole DXB itself.

Tickets are now up for grabs, with weekend passes starting at $126 (460 AED/SAR) for general admission, $196 (700 AED/SAR) for VIP weekend-long access, and $225 (825 AED/SAR) for front-row weekend passes.
