This month’s mix is a diverse collection of new music, starting with the latest from Sudan’s burgeoning scene, featuring tracks from Montiyago, MaMan, and Hoosh. Marwan Pablo’s newest release Al Arba3 marks a departure from his trap roots, and it surprisingly works, showing his versatility.

Kisses, which dropped on Aug. 2, is the latest contender for song of the summer, joining Tutl8te’s Habibi Leh. For the latest track from his new album, the masked Egyptian artist blends reimagined 90s pop beats with the emotional feel of an indie track, creating a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh.

Speaking of Egypt, indie sensation Pink Seasalt returns with Moonlight, a track that marries soothing vocals with emotive lyricism. The playlist also includes Kuwaiti-Palestinian artist Etaf’s newest release Small Details, in which she gives a raw portrayal of her personal struggles as an Arab woman, dismantling the patriarchy one powerful lyric at a time. The satirical track, resonating with many Arab women, features the bold line “enti wana, we fuck the system,” offering just a glimpse into its unapologetic message.
