The Simple Curly Hair Routine You Need to Try

Your super-quick, lazy-girl guide to perfect curls

If you have curly hair, your relationship with your hair is probably tumultuous. Arab girls literally move their lives around their hair. For those of us who haven’t moved on to the Brazilian blow-dry (keratin), organising plans often depends on when our blow dry is scheduled.

I grew up in Paris surrounded by friends who had silky straight hair running down their backs. When you don’t see people who look like you at school and in the media, it’s obviously harder to embrace your born-with-it texture.

Conditioned to believe that my hair looked unkempt, I never really felt confident enough to expose my natural hair on a daily basis. And although my curls are actually quite loose and wavy, they’ve often been quite difficult to tame.

Inspired by the natural hair movement, I finally decided it was time to unlearn everything society had taught me about my hair, stay away from blow-dryers, just be confident and let my hair be.

But knowing where to start and what products to use is the most frightening (and demotivating) part of the journey. Especially for those, who like me, are into big results with minimal effort.

Curls do deserve care and attention, but don’t worry; it’s not as hard as you might think. Here is our no-fuss, super-quick, lazy-girl curly hair routine you need to try now.
