Chanel Tops the Lyst Index as Luxury’s New Guard Takes Shape
Chanel has claimed the top spot in the latest Lyst Index, cementing its status as the world’s hottest fashion brand as Matthieu Blazy’s creative direction continues to drive demand. The quarterly ranking, which now measures brands across “Desire, Demand, and Discovery” to better reflect how consumers shop in the age of AI, social media, and cultural influence, places Chanel ahead of Miu Miu, Dior, Saint Laurent, and Gucci. Blazy’s viral pumps and reimagined Maxi Flap bag were among the quarter’s standout products, while Gucci climbed four places to its highest position since 2022 and high street favorite Massimo Dutti cracked the top 10 alongside luxury heavyweights. According to Lyst, today’s biggest winners are brands that combine strong creative identities with sustained cultural relevance, proving that fashion’s hottest labels are no longer defined by heritage alone, but by their ability to capture attention and convert it into lasting demand.
