Gentle Monster’s Dubai Mall Flagship Gets a Surreal Makeover
Gentle Monster has re-opened its Dubai Mall store, and it got a facelift—literally. The revamped space now greets visitors with two enormous hyper-realistic robotic faces that blink, breathe, and stare you down, sculptural mushroom-like installations sprouting from unexpected corners, and an AI-powered photobooth that will stick around for three months. The booth lets you snap a photo with an animated cat, then uses AI to dress the cat in your outfit, because why shouldn’t your feline alter ego serve a look too? Against this backdrop, the South Korean brand has unveiled its 2026 eyewear collection, “Bouquet,” introduced via a surreal campaign film co-directed by FKA twigs and Jordan Hemingway. Inspired by the elegant architecture of plant stems, the collection turns botanical forms into sculptural frames shaped by loops, tangles, and delicate ties, including a standout beaded piece that marries softness with maximalist flair. The campaign’s film—set to an unreleased track by FKA twigs—follows the hypnotic bloom of a bud as a metaphor for growth, echoing Gentle Monster’s ongoing obsession with stretching the boundaries between fashion, art, and performance. The collection officially drops on January 16, 2026, online and in stores.
NBA and Balenciaga Collaborate on Limited-Edition Capsule

Pierpaolo Piccioli is settling into Balenciaga with ease—and a little attitude—kicking things up a notch this season with an elevated NBA collaboration that rewrites the rules of sportswear. For Fall 2026, the designer blends Cristóbal Balenciaga’s signature nonchalant luxury with his own future-leaning vision, turning the collection into a polished collision of sharp tailoring, athletic staples, and full-blown ballroom drama. A cast of actors, artists, musicians, and models brings the pieces to life, mirroring the rhythm of the streets outside the show venue. Piccioli’s first big collaborative swing for the House balances nostalgia with next-era ambition: cropped tracksuits, knitted hot pants, bright parkas, mesh jerseys, and leather varsity jackets sit alongside sleek branded bags and sporty accessories in a muted, grown-up palette. The mainline looks lean into relaxed elegance. Think oversized double-breasted coats, textured suiting, and statement leather for men, while women get shimmering outerwear, sculpted co-ords, and glittering ballgowns topped off with bold jewelry and a minimalist Manolo Blahnik footwear link-up.
Amina Muaddi Opens First Middle East Boutique in Dubai Mall

Finally, an Amina Muaddi store in the Middle East. The eponymous footwear label founded by Romanian-Jordanian designer Amina Muaddi has cut the ribbon on its first regional boutique with the help of Level Shoes. Situated in Dubai Mall. The 100sqm space was conceptualized and designed by Crosby Studios in collaboration with Muaddi, and features a custom façade and architectural pod. “This opening feels especially meaningful to us,” says Elisa Bruno, CEO of Level Shoes. “We’ve followed Amina’s journey from her early days and quickly recognized her strength as a designer. I’ve admired her resilience and her reinterpretation of silhouettes that are now iconic.” With the new opening, shoppers in the Middle East will have direct access to Amina Muaddi’s footwear and accessories, including global exclusive styles like the Juliette 45 thong sandals in gold patent leather and the embellished Gigi thong sandals, available only at Level Shoes.
Celine Unveils Ramadan 2026 Collection

With Ramadan just around the corner (approximately one month to be more precise), luxury brands have slowly started unveiling their Holy Month collections. Parisian label Celine is the latest to present an exclusive, limited-edition capsule for Ramadan 2026,a refined edit of ready-to-wear and accessories designed in a quietly luxurious palette. The collection centers on three elegant silk pyjamas—offered in ivory, wisteria, and khaki—alongside two printed silk blouse-and-skirt sets styled with Cage sandals or classic Triomphe slingbacks for effortless evening polish. Hero pieces include precious leather handbags such as the small Triomphe Frame, first introduced in Michael Rider’s debut collection for the house and reissued here in python or crocodile, rendered in rich tones like light burgundy and deep navy. Available exclusively across Celine boutiques in the Middle East, Singapore, and Malaysia from February to March 2026, the capsule leans into the brand’s signature restraint while serving up a subtly opulent Ramadan wardrobe fit for the season’s gatherings.
Loro Piana Introduces New Extra Softy Bag

Meet your new quiet luxury obsession for 2026. Loro Piana is kicking off the year with the Extra Softy Bag, an elongated, impossibly plush evolution of its signature Extra Bag. Designed to glide effortlessly from morning meetings to red-eye flights, the new bag is leek, modern, and feather-soft. The silhouette leans into the house’s refined minimalism with clean lines and sensorial proportions crafted from satin, woven leather, butter-smooth calfskin, soft fine-grained leather, and the ultra-precious Wish Cash Double Chevron fabric. Vintage-inflected details elevate the mood: a leather keyring with a Ghiera charm, a gold three-dimensional padlock engraved with Loro Piana’s initials, and a detachable strap that can be worn on the shoulder or cross-body, fastened with a curved “bridge” hook inspired by the bag’s handle. Available in two sizes (L33 and L44) and four muted shades—Fossil, Ancient Sandstone, Dark Chocolate Licorice, and Baby Cashmere—the Extra Softy is available in boutiques and online, ready to claim its place as the season’s most understated flex.
REFY Officially Lands in the Middle East

Back in 2020, long before REFY hit Middle Eastern shelves, Jess Hunt wandered through Sephora in The Dubai Mall and quietly slipped a few REFY products onto a gondola, a cosmic manifestation of where she hoped the brand would eventually land. Fast forward to now, and the vision has materialized in the most cinematic way possible. REFY has officially launched in the region, celebrating with a full Sephora window takeover and its very own in-store gondola—prime real estate in one of the world’s most trafficked beauty destinations. For founders Jess Hunt and Jenna Meek, seeing REFY spotlighted in Dubai Mall is a full-circle moment that marks the brand’s evolution from a minimalist, founder-driven idea into a globally recognized name with serious staying power.
