Bella Hadid Turns Designer For Frankies Bikinis
Bella Hadid has teamed up with her longtime friend Francesca Aiello, founder of Frankies Bikinis, to create a fiery swimwear and ready-to-wear collection. Announced with a heartfelt Instagram post, the collab is a true labor of love, with Hadid’s signature cool girl style woven into every detail—think suede swimsuits, leather accents, and subtle nods to her roots. The collection, which dropped on March 4, embraces cowboy-core with cognac-colored suede, teeny-weeny leopard prints, and a splash of red gingham.
Prada Group to (Potentially) Acquire Versace
After weeks of evaluation, Prada Group is nearing a deal to acquire Versace from its current owner, Capri Holdings Ltd., for nearly $1.6 billion, according to sources cited by Business of Fashion. While due diligence has not identified any risks, final negotiations are ongoing, and there’s no guarantee the deal will close. Prada has signed an exclusive agreement to conduct a full review, but private deliberations may not lead to a formal offer. This potential acquisition follows the blocked merger between Capri Holdings and Tapestry, which led Capri to enlist Barclays in exploring alternative options, including pitching Versace’s sale to Prada. If successful, the acquisition would return Versace to Italian ownership under a family-led conglomerate, aligning it with Prada’s strong financial performance—an outlier in a luxury market slowdown that saw competitors like Kering and LVMH struggle while Prada and Miu Miu thrived.
Haider Ackermann Makes Tom Ford Debut
Haider Ackermann made his highly anticipated debut as Tom Ford’s creative director on March 6, 2025, during Paris Fashion Week, marking a new chapter for the brand following his appointment in December 2023. Taking the reins after Tom Ford’s acquisition by Estée Lauder, Ackermann was tasked with reinterpreting the house’s signature sensuality while infusing it with his own sharp, poetic aesthetic. His first collection balanced precision tailoring with fluid elegance, featuring leather moto jackets, structured suits with peaked shoulders, and slinky, slit dresses that hinted at allure rather than overtly displaying it. Closing the show with sleek black and grey suits, he paid homage to Ford’s legacy while asserting his own refined vision, proving that Tom Ford’s signature decadence is in sophisticated hands.
Marni and HOKA Unveil Their Co-Designed Bondi B3LS Sneakers
Marni is collaborating with HOKA to bring its bold, maximalist aesthetic to the BONDI B3LS sneakers, launching this spring in four standout shades: Poinciana (red), Bracken (charcoal), Tourmaline (blue), and Straw (beige). This reimagined silhouette combines HOKA’s performance-driven design with Marni’s instinct for shape and color, featuring a highly responsive rubber sole, cushioned EVA insoles, and a lightly padded, subtly rubberized polyester upper for enhanced comfort and durability. Each pair includes three sets of laces—monochrome, tone-on-tone rope, and multicolored—for added versatility. Marni’s Creative Director Francesco Risso describes the design as a “fearless expression of movement, volume, and identity.”
Viktor & Rolf Returns to Ready-to-Wear
After a decade-long hiatus, Viktor & Rolf is officially reviving its ready-to-wear line for Fall 2025. Known for using couture as a conceptual playground, designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren felt the time was right to reintroduce RTW, drawing inspiration from their Spring 2002, Fall 2003, and Spring 2023 couture collections. The new 17-look wardrobe embraces their signature bold volumes, layering, duplication effects, bows, and ruffles, featuring balloon trousers, multi-layered tank tops, and denim pieces in neutrals, dark berry, mint, and sky-blue. Luxurious materials like Italian silk satin, Japanese tuxedo wool, and organic cotton denim define the collection, with outerwear created in collaboration with Mackintosh. The line will release twice a year, aligned with Paris Fashion Week in March and September, and will retail between €990 and €2,000, available on the brand’s website and select global retailers. This marks a significant expansion for the house, complementing its couture, bridal (Viktor & Rolf Mariage), eyewear (Viktor & Rolf Vision), and fragrance business under L’Oréal, while solidifying its return to ready-to-wear after years of limited commercial releases.

Piaget and Shamsa Alabbar Debut Limited Edition Timepiece for Ramadan
Yasmin Al Mulla isn’t the only Emirati creative to join forces with a renowned French brand this Ramadan. In fact, Piaget teamed up with Emirati designer Shamsa Alabbar to give her iconic Token motif a fresh spin. Blending the Maison’s expert craftsmanship with her modern take on Arabic typography, the Token comes to life on a limited-edition Limelight Gala Precious watch, featuring delicate gold arabesque patterns on a mother-of-pearl dial—paying tribute to the UAE’s maritime heritage. Wrapped in Piaget’s signature hand-engraved Décor Palace bracelet, it’s a stunning mix of tradition and artistry. The design also makes its way onto Piaget’s fourth edition of Ramadan collectible coffee cups, featuring six meaningful words—Light, Peace, Blessing, Tranquility, and Generosity—handpicked and beautifully designed in Arabic calligraphy by Alabbar.
