Bottega Veneta Unveils Special Edition Lamp With Flos

Bottega Veneta has teamed up with Italian lighting brand Flos to reimagine Gino Sarfatti’s iconic Model 600 table lamp. Originally designed in 1966, the same year Bottega Veneta was founded, the lamp featured a groundbreaking flexible base of lead shot pellets encased in leather, allowing for adjustable angles and a softer aesthetic. This new edition updates the base with Bottega’s signature Intrecciato and Intreccio Foulard leather designs while incorporating modern LED technology. Retaining the original light bulb shape, the lamp offers versatile lighting options—direct or indirect—and comes in small and large sizes in colors like black, grey, red, emerald green, and Bottega’s signature green. Suitable for table or floor use, it embodies the shared commitment to innovation and craftsmanship of both brands.

Drawing inspiration “from the audacious cool of 90s New York” and “the poised elegance of the 2000s”, The Front Row Studios latest line, dubbed The Business of Pleasure, is a sartorial ode to two iconic decades. From tailored bootcut trousers to structured box coats, and flowing satin skirts, despite its initial influences, the collection has the modern woman’s spirit at its core, designed for those who value both power and style. Whether it’s for the office, a special event, or a casual night out, the Egyptian label’s latest creations celebrates the kind of effortless chic that works for any occasion.

“With these pieces, we wanted to give women the freedom to express themselves, knowing they look and feel their absolute best,” Malak Hany, The Front Row Studios, said in a shared statement. “It’s about embracing duality—being both strong and sensual, commanding and approachable and as cool as ever,” she added.

Mouna Ayoub is Auctioning Off Her Jean-Paul Gaultier Pieces

Mouna Ayoub, one of the most celebrated haute couture collectors, is auctioning 41 of her iconic Jean Paul Gaultier couture pieces in “Jean Paul Gaultier, The Couture Years, The Mouna Ayoub Collection.” This major sale, set for November 25 in Paris, is a collaboration between Maurice Auction and London’s Kerry Taylor Auctions. The catalog is a treasure trove of Gaultier’s most dazzling creations, including a fall 1998 corseted black evening trench and halter gown, a beaded taffeta kilt from the same collection, a spring 1999 strapless gown crafted from faded denim and feathers, a Prince of Wales check pantsuit from fall 2000, and an intricately beaded Eiffel Tower-inspired evening dress. Other highlights include silk crepe denim-style dungarees covered in beads from spring 2003 and the Amy Winehouse-inspired fall 2012 ensemble named What A Fuckery. Speaking to Vogue, her reasons for auctioning off the pieces? “I’m older, and I’ve changed a lot—my style is the same, but my lifestyle is different. I still go to Cannes and I still love to wear my Gaultier, but he doesn’t design the couture anymore. Friends of mine have been desperate to get pieces from my collection—they’d seen me on the red carpet in his creations over the years—but they wanted to buy them from me directly, but I don’t want to do business with my friends. It was better to just do the auction.”

Drake’s OVO Will No Longer Sell Real Fur

Drake’s clothing brand, October’s Very Own (OVO), has pledged to stop using real fur in its products after pressure from PETA and over 100,000 emails from supporters urging the ban on fur, including rabbit and coyote. PETA, which announced the news via a press release, is celebrating the decision by sending OVO bunny-shaped vegan chocolates. PETA highlights the cruelty of the fur industry, where animals are confined to filthy cages or caught in traps and then killed through brutal methods like electrocution or poisoning. With this move, OVO joins brands like Canada Goose, Moncler, Dolce & Gabbana, and Moose Knuckles in rejecting fur.
