The Prada-designed spacesuit is unveiled
NASA’s 2026 return to the moon will feature new spacesuits developed in collaboration with Italian luxury brand Prada. Axiom Space and Prada unveiled the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan, designed for NASA’s historic Artemis III mission, the first moon landing since 1972. The suit enhances astronaut safety and mobility, offering improved flexibility, performance, and durability for spacewalks, even in the harsh lunar environment. With features like in-suit nutrition, 4G/LTE communications, and HD cameras, the suits can withstand extreme cold for two hours and support spacewalks for up to eight hours. The Artemis III mission aims to land the first woman and person of color on the moon, marking a significant step toward future missions to Mars.
Denim Tears and Marc Jacobs join forces
To mark Marc Jacobs’ 40th anniversary, the brand teamed up with streetwear label Denim Tears to create a special edition of the iconic Marc Jacobs Tote Bag. The collaborative piece, named “The Tears Bag,” features a black calfskin leather design adorned with Denim Tears’ signature cotton wreaths, a tribute to African American heritage. This luxurious twist on Jacobs’ popular Tote Bag swaps the original “THE TOTE BAG” lettering for “THE TEARS BAG,” adding depth and meaning to the design. The collaboration celebrates both Marc Jacobs’ legacy and Denim Tears’ impact on streetwear, with the bag available on the Marc Jacobs website for $522.

The Victoria’s Secret runway show returns after six-year hiatus
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made a highly anticipated return in New York on Oct. 15, its first since 2018, featuring iconic models. Gigi Hadid opened the show, and Bella Hadid closed it, while Victoria’s Secret legends Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel returned to the runway. Supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Tyra Banks also graced the catwalk. An all-women musical lineup made up of Tyla, Lisa, and music icon Cher added to the spectacle. This comeback follows a four-year hiatus after the show faced backlash for lack of inclusivity and perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards. The show also introduced shoppable runway looks available in real-time via Victoria’s Secret’s website, app, and select stores. An exclusive collection of backstage merchandise is now available online and in stores across the UAE, KSA, and other regions.
Chanel’s next cruise show will be in Lake Como
Chanel is moving forward with plans for its next cruise show despite the recent departure of creative director Virginie Viard. The French fashion house has announced the event will take place on April 29, set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Como in Italy, though the exact location remains undisclosed. Known for its glamorous villas and appeal to luxury brands, Lake Como has recently hosted events like Dior’s high jewelry presentation at Villa Erba and Rhude’s menswear show at Villa D’Este.
Giorgio Armani presents SS25 RTW show in New York
Giorgio Armani’s spring/summer 2025 show in New York on Thursday was a celebration of the brand’s new Madison Avenue building and its longstanding connection to the city. Marking the 50th anniversary of the Armani label, the off-schedule event drew celebrities like Orlando Bloom and Pamela Anderson to the Park Avenue Armory, a few blocks from the new building. Titled In Viaggio (“on a journey” in Italian), the collection featured soft tailoring in menswear and 30s-inspired silhouettes, shimmery dresses, and silk pantsuits for women. A neutral palette, accented with salmon pink and earthy tones, captured the nostalgic yet modern spirit of the collection. The new Madison Avenue location also includes Giorgio Armani and Armani/Casa boutiques, an Armani/Ristorante, and fully sold-out residential units.
