Dior and A24 Are Announce New Partnership
Dior and A24 are officially joining forces, announcing a two-year partnership centered around New York’s historic Cherry Lane Theatre, which A24 reopened last fall. The collaboration will bring fashion, film, and theater under one roof through a program of live performances and cultural projects, with Dior serving as the venue’s main partner and Jonathan Anderson helping shape the creative exchange. Naturally, they announced it in the most A24 way possible, with an Aidan Zamiri-directed short starring Sabrina Carpenter, Josh O’Connor, Drew Starkey, Camille Cottin, and Sophie Wilde auditioning to play Anderson himself, complete with his signature checked shirt, jeans, and hands-in-pockets stance. The partnership kicks off with Both Ends, a one-night-only production marking the first anniversary of Cherry Lane’s reopening, written by Justin Vivian Bond and produced and directed by Zack Winokur. Anderson will also design the costumes, dressing Bond in an archival Paul Poiret garment that connects back to both Cherry Lane co-founder Edna St. Vincent Millay and Dior’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection. For Anderson, the bigger idea is to bring Dior into culture in ways that extend beyond campaigns, red carpets, and product placements, using A24’s world to experiment with how a fashion house can interact with audiences through theater, cinema, and live experiences.

Chloé is expanding its presence in Dubai with a new boutique at Mall of the Emirates, bringing Creative Director Chemena Kamali’s vision for the French house into a new retail space. Design details include Christian Adam’s iconic Tomato chair and a bespoke Parcela table by Aldo Alvarez Tostado, while the overall space reflects the effortless femininity that has defined Kamali’s Chloé since taking the helm. “This new boutique allows us to strengthen our connection with the local community and to share Chemena Kamali’s vision in a space that reflects the spirit of the Maison today,” said Chloé President and CEO Laurent Malecaze.
Istituto Marangoni Dubai Sends Its First Graduating Class Down the Runway
Istituto Marangoni Dubai celebrated its graduating students with IN COMMON — Design in Dialogue, its inaugural Fashion Show and Degree Show, held at GOODER in Alserkal Avenue on Sept. 10. Bringing together work across Fashion Design, Fashion Business, Interior Design, Visual Design, Fashion Communication & Image, and Fragrance & Cosmetics, the showcase put the spotlight on a new generation of Dubai-based creatives exploring everything from identity and cultural heritage to memory, technology, nature, and contemporary life. On the runway, 10 emerging designers presented collections spanning wildly different references and ideas, including Alaa Naser Asker’s meditation on human connection through the everyday ritual of laundry, Nadine Suliman’s exploration of the lost Nubian region of Wadi Halfa using biodegradable fabrics, and Karim Fakhrutdinov’s gothic collection inspired by confinement, mortality, and the straitjacket.
New Balance Is Taking Over Palm Jumeirah Mall for a Weekend of Wellness
New Balance is giving Dubai a reason to swap its usual weekend plans for yoga and matcha with Back to Balance, a free three-day wellness experience taking over The Palm Jumeirah Dome from Sept. 11 to 13. Created to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new AC Bodywear collection and fresh colorways of its lightweight Ellipse sneaker, the activation will give guests a chance to actually put the pieces through their paces, beginning with 45-minute yoga sessions led by Emirati-founded Gigi Studio. Once the stretching is over, there is plenty more happening, including a Dyson refresh booth featuring the Supersonic Travel hair dryer, a matcha bar by homegrown brand Tease, a fresh flower bouquet workshop, and New Balance vouchers and giveaways. The experience is free, but registration is required, with midday and evening sessions available across all three days and additional morning sessions on Sept. 12 and 13.
Diesel Taps Diya Joukani to Front Its New D-ONE Bag
Diesel has tapped Mumbai-based designer Diya Joukani to spotlight the D-ONE, its new signature bag for Fall/Winter 2026, pairing one of the season’s biggest accessories with a creative known for her experimental approach to fashion and distinctive personal style. First introduced on Glenn Martens’ FW26 runway, the D-ONE comes in slouchy leather with buckled straps inspired by worn belts threaded through denim loops, giving the everyday silhouette some unmistakably Diesel hardware. Joukani, whose work moves between design, image-making, and fashion, fronts a new series of images showcasing the bag and its deliberately lived-in feel, with the collaboration tapping into the individuality and irreverence that have become central to Diesel under Martens.
Celine and Reebok Revisit an ’80s Classic
Celine and Reebok are joining forces to give an ’80s sneaker classic a decidedly Parisian update. The collaboration takes on the Reebok Freestyle Lo, first introduced in 1982 and closely associated with the decade’s aerobics boom, reworking the archival silhouette through Celine’s lens. Built around the idea of “heritage two ways,” the partnership brings together Paris street style and American movement, playing with the two brands’ shared interest in looking backward while continuing to move forward. The resulting sneaker will arrive in a single style offered across eight colorways, giving a shoe that has already survived more than four decades another life in 2026.
Kris Van Assche Is Bringing Back His Namesake Label
Kris Van Assche is returning to his own label more than a decade after shuttering it in 2015, marking a new chapter for the Belgian designer following high-profile tenures at Dior Homme and Berluti. The relaunch will see Van Assche return to the sharp, modern tailoring that defined KRISVANASSCHE, this time with a more considered approach to production. His first collection will feature roughly 40 menswear and womenswear styles, spanning jackets, shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, and knitwear, made using high-quality deadstock fabrics and produced in limited quantities. Van Assche originally put his label on hold while serving as creative director of Dior Homme, a position he held from 2007 until 2018, before succeeding Haider Ackermann at Berluti and leading the house until 2021. In the years since, he has moved beyond clothing through collaborations with Anta and Fred Perry, design objects for Serax, and bronze sculptures with Downtown Gallery, including work presented during Milan Design Week 2026. Now, he says the time feels right for a “profoundly personal expression of fashion again,” with the first collection from the revived Kris Van Assche label expected to land online by mid-to-late September.
