It’s fitting that one of this season’s runway queens has the most regal name. Meet Amira Al-Zuhair, the Saudi model who took Paris Haute Couture Week by storm last week, emerging as a breakout star to watch.
The 22-year-old was one of the most in-demand faces of the season, walking for the likes of Giorgio Armani, Giambattista Valli, and Georges Hobeika. Just days after gracing the runways of the French capital, the newcomer jetted off to Sicily to make an appearance at Dolce & Gabbana’s 10th anniversary Alta Moda show on Sunday.
Given her expanding visibility on runways, it’s safe to say that the young trailblazing model is rapidly joining the ranks of other Arab and Arab adjacent catwalk stars having a major moment, such as the Hadid sisters, Malika El-Maslouhi, and Loli Bahia, to name a few.
She’s from Saudi Arabia
Al-Zuhair is originally from Saudi Arabia although she is based between two European capitals: Paris and London.
She is signed to Elite Model Management
She is represented by one of the most prestigious model agencies in the world, following in the footsteps of iconic models such as Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Irina Shayk, and Iman, who are currently signed to or were previously managed by Elite.
She Studied in the UK
The model graduated from the Harrodian School in Barnes, which is in South West London. Notable graduates from the prep school include Robert Pattinson, Tom Sturridge, and Will Poulter.
She holds a Bachelor of Science
The model is beauty and brains. Shortly after graduating high school, Al-Zuhair went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
She’s a Pageant Queen
In 2020, A- Zuhair competed for the Miss France crown. Though she didn’t take home the top prize, the model was second runner-up in her county’s pre-selections.
