Abu Dhabi’s Grand Prix weekend is still a few months away but we’re already counting down the days. Yas Marina Circuit and Flash Entertainment, the company behind Formula 1’s concerts, just confirmed that Travis Scott will be performing at the Du Arena.
The ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper will kick off the UAE’s biggest weekend on Friday November 29 with an after-race concert.
The show will mark Scott’s second performance in the UAE. The platinum-selling artist headlined Abu Dhabi’s Yasalam Beats on The Beach concert in 2016. But this time around, you can expect to hear his biggest hits from his latest album, Astroworld.
To make the announcement, Yas Marina Circuit teased fans with an Instagram post, which included three emojis: a cactus, an eagle and a flame, against a backdrop that evoked Astroworld’s album cover art.
Scott is the first act to be announced. And we’re sure there will be a lot more to look forward to as more announcements roll out in the coming weeks. Last year’s concert weekend saw Post Malone, The Weekend, Sam Smith, and the legendary Guns N’ Roses take the stage.
