Palestinian designer Reema Al Banna launched her namesake label—Reemami—almost a decade ago. At the time, her contemporary designs shook up the fashion scene in the region, and thanks to her experimental cuts, the label has managed to maintain its status. In 2016 Banna won the Vogue Arabia and DDFC Fashion Prize amongst a long list of awards from titles across the region.
Reemami’s SS18 collection continued to draw inspiration from trailblazing, and the constantly changing and evolving landscapes seen out of a train window throughout Europe.
The result is a selection of varied pieces, with the color palette ranging from plaids to bright, bold hues—complimented by designer’s signature denim jackets and metal hardware that add a touch of edge to the otherwise whimsical collection.
In typical Reemami fashion, the cuts are experimental, resulting in structured silhouettes featuring quirky hand illustrated graphic prints.
