Valentino Returns to Milan Men’s Fashion Week After Three Years

Pierpaolo is doing things differently this time around

In an effort to elevate menswear into a singularly powerful moment, Maison Valentino is doing things differently this time around by breaking away from its co-ed set up of the last three years and returning to Milan Men’s Fashion Week. The Spring 2024 Menswear show is set to take place on June 16 at 2:00 p.m. CET at the Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, kicking off the men’s shows in Milan.

Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli purposely decided to show on the opening day of Milan Fashion Week, in a time when the university will be active with students giving them a chance to witness the fashion spectacle at the Statale di Milano. Although the women’s and couture collections have been traditionally held in Paris, the designer decided to pay homage to the house’s roots, as Mr. Valentino Garavani staged his very first menswear show in Milan in January 1985.

To say the least, rarely does Piccioli disappoint– seeing his creative vision fully manifest itself into both womenswear and menswear will be a powerful moment for the Italian fashion house. Valentino has been working on changing menswear narratives over the seasons, with collections such as Maison Valentino Essentials which was a selection of menswear staples that reconsider traditional rules and limitations. Lets wait and see what Pierpaolo has in store for this season.

The show will be streamed on Valentino.com and through the Maison’s social channels.
