Telfar Relaunches Iconic Shopping Bags For Eid al Fitr

In celebration of Eid, Telfar Clemens, the designer behind Telfar, is putting back into production his iconic Shopping Bag tote, only this time, for a special occasion. The vegan leather bag branded with a T is usually only available in limited-edition drops that sell out in seconds, and this time the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner is releasing a line of bags to mark Eid al Fitr, anticipated on March 30 or 31. What’s more, 50% of all proceeds will be directed towards organizations championing Palestinian and Sudanese liberation in a move of solidarity and support. Last year, Clemens dropped all of his iconic shopping bags for Eid Al-Adha, with 10% of the proceeds going towards relief efforts in Palestine.

Miguel Castro Freitas is the New Creative Director of Mugler

Mugler has officially named Miguel Castro Freitas as its new creative director, succeeding Casey Cadwallader, who steps down at the end of March after a bold seven-year tenure that revitalized the house with theatrical shows and star-studded collaborations with the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Kardashian, and Lady Gaga. Freitas, a Portuguese designer and Central Saint Martins graduate, begins his role on April 1 and will debut his first collection during Paris Fashion Week this fall for the Spring 2026 season. With past design roles at Sportmax, Dries Van Noten, Christian Dior Couture, and early stints under Julie Verhoeven, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, and Lanvin, Freitas brings a rich pedigree to the house. A former dancer, his creative background mirrors that of Mugler’s late founder, Manfred Thierry Mugler, and aligns with the brand’s expressive legacy. “It is an honor to join the spectacular house of Mugler,” Freitas said, adding he’s eager to bring his “vision, story, and emotion” to the storied maison. Mugler’s managing director Adrian Corsin praised Freitas as an “incredible talent” whose understanding of the brand’s couture codes promises a powerful new chapter.

Gigi Hadid Fronts New Miu Miu Campaign

Gigi Hadid reunites with Miu Miu for the Italian brand’s 2025 leather goods campaign, photographed by Steven Meisel. The campaign takes an artistic turn, blending classic 20th-century high society portraiture with a painterly finish—digitally altered images mimic brushstrokes, blurring the line between painting and photography. Centered on the brand’s iconic matelassé bags—particularly the Wander and Arcadie styles—the ads spotlight new suede versions in chocolate, mustard, pistachio, and fuchsia, alongside still life shots of the leather editions. First introduced in 2006, the matelassé design has evolved over the years, becoming so integral to Miu Miu’s identity that it hardly needs a logo. Styled by Lotta Volkova and creatively directed by Edward Quarmby, the campaign continues the brand’s recent tradition of art-inspired storytelling, following previous nods to Margaret Keane and Yevonde. Hadid, a longtime Miu Miu collaborator, also walked in the brand’s Fall 2025 Paris show earlier this month, joining a cast that included Sarah Paulson, Laura Harrier, and Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.
