Maison Margiela’s “House of Memories” Arrives in Dubai
Maison Margiela has landed in Dubai with its House of Memories, the brand’s first immersive Replica fragrance experience in the Gulf. Running from November 7 to 9 at The Foundry, Downtown Dubai, the three-day pop-up invites visitors to step inside the Maison’s evocative world of scent, memory, and emotion. Inside, guests can explore the Replica universe through intimate installations spotlighting cult favorites like Lazy Sunday Morning, Jazz Club, and By the Fireplace, alongside new launches and the much-talked-about Afternoon Delight. Minimalist and timeless, the Replica line— which includes 19 fragrances and 9 candles— draws inspiration from Margiela’s original 1994 fashion collection of the same name. The experience also features a themed Afternoon Delight Café and a boutique offering the full Replica collection, while expert-led olfactory workshops give visitors the chance to uncover the craft behind each scent. The fragrance workshops run Friday through Sunday, with two sessions daily (12 PM–1 PM and 4 PM–5 PM) — available on a first-come, first-served basis.

t’s the end of an era at Balmain. Creative director Olivier Rousteing has officially announced his departure from the French fashion house after a transformative 14-year tenure. Appointed in 2011 at just 24 years old, Rousteing became the youngest creative director in Paris since Yves Saint Laurent, and the first Black designer to lead all divisions of a French fashion house.“Thank you to Mayhoola for the support and for all the memories that will remain forever engraved in my mind. Thank you to my team, without whom none of these incredible adventures could have existed,” Rousteing said in a statement posted on Instagram. “Today, I leave the House of Balmain with my eyes still wide open — open to the future and to the beautiful adventures ahead, adventures in which all of you will have a place.” As of now, Balmain has yet to announce a successor.
Anok Yai Named Model of the Year Ahead of the 2025 Fashion Awards
Though the 2025 Fashion Awards won’t take place until Monday, December 1, the council has already crowned its Model of the Year. The honor goes to none other than Anok Yai, the Sudanese-American supermodel who has had a defining year on and off the runway. Yai’s domination over the past 12 months has been impossible to miss. During SS26 fashion month, she opened major shows for Ferragamo, Coperni, and Hugo Boss, closed Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Vetements, and Messika, and walked for heavyweights like Saint Laurent, Mugler, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta, and Chanel. As for the rest of the categories, the 2025 Fashion Awards will unfold at London’s Royal Albert Hall next month, where the remaining winners will be revealed.
AMIRI Joins Forces with FC Barcelona as the Club’s Official Formalwear Partner

Luxury meets legacy as AMIRI announces a new collaboration with FC Barcelona, one of the world’s most decorated football clubs. The partnership, debuting for Winter 2025, sees the Los Angeles-based fashion house become the official formalwear partner for the club’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as its executives and leadership. Drawing inspiration from the club’s iconic blaugrana colors—deep navy blue and garnet—AMIRI reimagines formalwear through its signature Californian lens. The Winter collection includes six-button wool overcoats, double-breasted and single-breasted tailored jackets, and flared pinstripe trousers paired with garnet-and-blue ties and gold bar clips. For Summer, the wardrobe transitions to pinstripe blousons embroidered with the MA monogram, lightweight knits featuring subtle FC Barcelona detailing, and breezy, sports-inspired tailoring.
Sydney Sweeney Breaks Silence on Her American Eagle Ad Controversy
Months after her American Eagle campaign sparked a nationwide stir, Sydney Sweeney is finally addressing the backlash, and according to her, the reaction was as unexpected as it was exaggerated. In a new GQ profile, the Euphoria star reflected on the viral moment that somehow spiraled all the way to the desks of Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. “I did a jean ad,” she said simply. “I mean, the reaction definitely was a surprise. But I love jeans. All I wear are jeans. I’m literally in jeans and a T-shirt every day of my life.” The ad in question, which cheekily played on the phrase “great jeans” versus “great genes,” ignited a wave of online debate and political commentary that even Sweeney found “surreal.” When asked whether she intended to make any political statement through the campaign, Sweeney kept it clear and measured: “I think that when I have an issue that I want to speak about, people will hear.”
Jaeger-LeCoultre Brings “Reverso Stories” to Dubai Design District

If there’s one thing Jaeger-LeCoultre knows how to do, it’s turn time into art. This month, the Swiss maison brings its Reverso Stories pop-up to Dubai Design District, an immersive exhibition that retraces nearly nine decades of craftsmanship, design, and invention through the story of its most iconic watch. Running until November 16 as part of Dubai Design Week, the experience feels less like a retrospective and more like stepping into the watch’s memory itself. Split into four chapters— Story of an Icon, Style & Design, Innovation, and Craftsmanship— the showcase moves from rare archival pieces to contemporary marvels, including the Reverso Hybris Mechanica Calibre 185 Quadriptyque, the world’s first wristwatch with four functioning faces. Also on display: a new interpretation of the Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179, recast in 18K pink gold with black lacquered dials, limited to just ten pieces. Open to the public free of charge, Reverso Stories runs daily from 10 AM to 11 PM (Nov 4–9) and 12 PM to 11 PM (Nov 10–16).
Dubai’s COPIA Group Acquires Paris and London-Based NS Agency
COPIA Group has officially acquired NS Agency, the Paris- and London-based luxury and lifestyle consultancy. The deal marks a historic first: a Middle East–headquartered communications firm acquiring a Western counterpart. Founded by Rania El Sadek, COPIA has spent over a decade helping define Dubai’s modern lifestyle identity, bringing together fashion, hospitality, and design. Its acquisition of NS Agency— founded by Nicholas Sferrazza, who now joins COPIA as Partner and Managing Director— extends that mission beyond the Middle East. From curating partnerships for TIME100 and Opera Gallery, to redefining luxury real estate with projects like Maison Margiela Residences and Mr. C Residences Downtown, COPIA has long been one of Dubai’s quiet architects of taste. As Sferrazza notes in a released statement, “Luxury today demands more than visibility— it requires localized authenticity with global reach.”
