Taking place at the Maison de L&#8217;Amerique Latin on Sep. 30, the ready-to-wear label will showcase its latest Spring 2024\u00a0 collection.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis event holds a special place in my heart as it marks not only our inaugural show in Paris but also a new chapter of creativity and innovation,\u201d says Reema Al Banna, the Dubai-based Palestinian designer who founded Reemami in 2009 in Sharjah. \u201cWe&#8217;ve poured our hearts and souls into crafting a collection that encapsulates the quintessence of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reemami<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;s unique vision. Each piece tells a story that reflects our passion for pushing boundaries and embracing artistic expression,\u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Way before sustainability was a part of the conversation, the womenswear designer launched her brand with a commitment to reducing waste, harmful chemicals, and any resources that would be deemed wasteful. Using a combination of local deadstock fabrics and organic cotton and denim that is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, Reemani is known for its distinctive hand-painted whimsical patterns. Aside from that, the label also recycles fabric offcuts into headbands and neck scarves, which are typically discarded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the brand adheres to sustainable production methods, its attitude remains playful at all times. A vibrant palette, clashing patterns, and asymmetrical silhouettes define Banna&#8217;s vision of Reemami\u2014 a brand that is sophisticated but childlike at heart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cA Tin of Olive Oil,\u201d her most recent collection, was a nod to being a third culture kid, something many in Dubai can relate to, and her childhood memories.
