You Can Shop the Coolest Brands at Nafsika Skourti’s Newly-Opened Amman Studio

let’s do some window-souking

As designer label Nafsika Skourti is set to cut the proverbial ribbon on its newly-renovated studio space this weekend in Amman, the Jordanian brand, co-founded by the eponymous designer Nafsika Skourti and her sister Stephanie Skourti, is hedonistically going to transform its refurbished hotspot into a platform for Arab and Middle Eastern female creators to showcase and sell their work.

The showroom-turned-micro-concept-store is a first for the womenswear label as it seeks to establish a collaborative space within the tightly-knit Amman community, aiming to challenge today’s fiercely competitive fashion scene in order to promote the importance of mutual support and amplify the voices of talented female creatives and their ensuing projects.

“One of the best parts of being in this industry is all the incredibly talented people we get to meet. I have been wanting to establish our studio as not just a place to purchase Nafsika Skourti, but also a destination to come discover and shop other brands that we believe in. It brings me great pleasure to announce the soft launch of NS SELECTIONS: a mini concept store hand selected by Stephanie and I,” said Nafsika of the concept.

Dubbed “The NS Selection: lakta min barra,” which means “a catch from abroad” in Arabic, the curated shopping extravaganza will feature a diverse and exclusive selection of hand-picked brands, including modern couture, streetwear, quirky homeware, naughty tees, and handcrafted jewelry — all carefully cherrypicked by the sibling duo. Hitting two birds with one stone, the pop-up will also celebrate the physical launch of Nafsika Skourti’s latest collection, “A Mad Girl’s Love Song,” which will be on display for an exclusive first look during the anticipated happening.

As it is getting underway during the holy month of Ramadan, from April 2-4 to be more exact, the three-day event will unfold in a two-shift system to welcome visitors before and after iftar, between 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. The opening will also feature a custom setup of hand-crafted tables in tinted sculpted plaster appliqué designed by fellow Jordan-based entrepreneur Karma Bdeir.

Shoppers can also finally get their hands on some of the most sought-after pieces, including Anissa Kermiche’s derrière-shaped ceramic flower vases, L’Afshar’s celebrity-loved handmade lucite clutches, and La Galpa’s luxurious knitwear, to name a few.
