Ever wished you could go on a date with your daily companion? Believe it or not, we’re not talking about your significant other, but instead, about your pets. Nestled at the heart of the UAE, in Dubai’s Business Bay, a new concept store, launched last December, is taking the relationship you have with your cat and, or, dog to the next level. And we can’t get enough of it.

HappyBarkDay, the Emirates’ first premium pet dessert shop, is making sure that no one feels left out when going out for a stroll and making a pit stop at your local corner cafe. The one-of-a-kind hang-out location provides daily prepared nutritional food items for your adorable animals to enjoy. From doughnuts, to cookies, pupcakes and puppacino’s, everything in the store, except for a self-service coffee machine, is tailored to butter your pets up.

Dubai’s newest tea-time corner is the brainchild of Hyunsuk Ku, 38, a Korean resident in the UAE who’s well-invested into the health and safety of her own pets. She is now combining the pleasant to the useful with her new animal-friendly cafeteria by helping owners spend some more quality time with their fluffy companions.

“As dog owners, we want to go everywhere together. There are many restaurants for humans, but very limited places for dogs. So, I wanted to open a fine dog restaurant for dogs and cats only, so an owner and dog can enjoy together.” Ku told The National News.

“I’ve lived in Dubai since 2008. When I was out working, I always missed my dog, so I wanted to work where I can stay together with my dog,” she says. “Now I am the most happy worker in the world.” she continued.

Meals at HappyBarkDay can range anywhere from $10 to $20, with cakes designed just for dogs’ birthdays retailing at around $55. However, as people say, happiness has no price and this is probably the ultimate epitome of it.
