Kylie Cosmetics Features their First Hijabi Model

Another win for representation and inclusivity

Not a day goes by without a tweet going viral on the bluebird app. The latest one? A quoted post regarding the youngest Kardashian’s beauty brand.

Following the relaunch of Kylie Cosmetics earlier this month in which the label vouched to apply strict cruelty-free and vegan formulas onto their wide collection of products, their latest announcement certainly did not go unmissed.

Revealing their newest line of gel eyeliner pencils which are set to be available in 15 inclusive and vibrant shades, the advertisement of the new range of merchandise did not come on its own. Keeping up with their times and subsequent trends, the Keeping Up with The Kardashian star has just casted its first hijabi model to illustrate the new collection of makeup accessories.

The move only makes sense. Since Fenty Beauty’s release back in 2017, the brand has been recognised for its unforeseen inclusivity and super broad range of shades. In turn, this has now become the new norm for most beauty brands around the world that are trying to appeal to an audience that is only becoming more conscious about their consumption habits.

The London-based Somali model, known as @fardosa_s online, seemed very happy and proud to celebrate this mighty first with the brand.
