Louis Vuitton Captures the Saudi Spirit in Striking Visuals

culture meets couture

Rising model Hiba Ben Khalifa takes us on a stylish journey across Saudi culture with Louis Vuitton‘s latest summer collection. Here, culture meets couture, transforming every day moments into a runway-ready affair. The images were photographed by 25-year-old visual story teller Sara Saad from Riyadh. The artist, who is known for her portraiture shedding light on the intersection of culture and tradition in the Kingdom paid homage to the vibrant spirit of Saudi lifestyle through each detail, magnified by the timeless elegance of Louis Vuitton.

Saad lensed the up-and-coming Saudi model wearing pieces from the luxury label’s travel-inspired Spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which was presented by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière in Paris’s Champs-Élysées in October. Ben Khalifa was captured wearing long flowing skirts made from layers of mousseline and charmeuse, full-skirted dresses in contrasting stripes, bomber jackets, silk blouses, and leather corset tops paired with the brand’s most recent range of handbags and shoes.

A longtime lover of travel, Ghesquière often infuses ideas of exploration into his clothing, making it especially fitting to traverse the Saudi capital in these visuals. Set against the backdrop of daily Saudi life, the imagery captures the unique blend of tradition and modern luxury. From the aromatic allure of Arabian coffee gatherings to falconry excursions, each moment is a celebration of heritage reimagined with elegance and functionality. The Parisian luxury label invites you to journey through Riyadh’s bustling AlZal market, neighborhood park of Bawdah, and the expansive beauty of the AlAmariya desert. Discover scenes of carrom game sessions and vibrant market strolls, all seamlessly integrated with the exquisite designs of Louis Vuitton.
