North African Artists To Unite in Paris for Charity Concert Supporting Palestine

Maghreb United!

With great power comes great responsibility” is an old adage that Algerian-born rapper TIF is taking to heart by hosting a charity concert supporting Palestine next month. Scheduled to take place on May 22, the Paris-based lyricist— who’s seen his stock meteorically rise over the past 12 months— has invited several of his industry peers to join him on stage to amplify the voices of the Palestinians in Gaza who are currently facing a genocide.

Through an announcement on his record label’s Instagram profile, the North African artist revealed his involvement in organizing a live event set to feature a rich lineup of talents, including Moroccan MC ElGrandeToto, Algerian hitmakers Soolking and Flenn, French wordsmith Alpha Wann, and many more. Additionally, it has also been confirmed that all proceeds from the event will be directed to British non-governmental organization, Medical Aid For Palestinians– a charity “that offers medical services in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon, and advocates for Palestinians’ rights to health and dignity” since 1982.

Dubbed “It’s Not About Us,” the chart-topping singer-slash-rapper articulates his mission to “gather all good-hearted individuals around common human values in a spirit of compassion and support for those who suffer in Gaza, Palestine, and around the world.” Standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the most respected and followed figures in the global rap scene, TIF is on a mission to champion a cause much greater than fame or fortune while raising funds and awareness towards a situation that is only getting worse by the day.

For the past six-months, the Gaza Strip has been the horrifying victim of a devastating cycle of violence which has, since Oct. 7, claimed the lives of over 30.000 men, women, and children. As risks of irreversible harm and damage continuously persist, the region teeters on the brink of further catastrophe, with each passing hour adding to the toll of human suffering and loss.
