5 Facts About Omar Marmoush, The Next Football Sensation

Move over Salah

Recently rumored to be joining English giants Liverpool FC, Egyptian star winger Omar Marmoush has been turning heads across European stadiums. The 25-year-old, in his debut season at Eintracht Frankfurt, is considered one of the Bundesliga’s most promising and prolific talents, having scored 15 times in 32 games— all competitions combined— while also providing six assists along the way.

Garnering substantial amounts of attention in a relatively short amount of time, the Cairo-born athlete, who diligently honed his skills across several clubs in Germany before achieving commendable success, could be on his way to joining his national team’s captain Mohamed Salah in the North of England, per circulating rumors. According to emerging reports, the Merseyside team could already be planning ahead of football manager Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Liverpool— he has already communicated his resignation, effective by the summer after a seven-year-long tenure— and the arrival of the talented prospect is believed to be part of the team’s strategy for continued sporting prosperity. Also allegedly courted by recent Community Shield winners Arsenal, it has been claimed that Liverpool is considering using the influence of Salah to sway the young striker’s decision to potentially join their ranks.

Ahead of the rumored move, which could unite both North African players at both national team and club levels, we decided to compile all there is to know about Marmoush, Egypt’s next footballing sensation.
