We Asked AI Chatbot Service ChatGPT to Write a MILLE-Like Article Introducing Itself

Here’s how it went

For those that are still not acquainted with ChatGPT, you’ll soon be all over it. At length, it’s an AI chatbot system that can basically do anything and everything you ask it to do. Available for free, providing you have a decent internet connection at home, all it takes for you to put your feet up and tick whatever task off your list is to write a short description of what you precisely need to get sorted. Ask ChatGPT to answer your boss, write an email, fill in an invoice, send it your exact details, and consider it done.

It’s true, it’s quite hard to believe at first sight, and if we’re being honest, we were quite dubious about it as well — hence why we decided to give it a shot and see for ourselves.

We asked the computer program to “write an online press article about ChatGPT, explain what it does, why it’s cool and makes life easier with some jokes and some wit”—  basically to introduce itself to our readers how we would. The AI’s response was so accurate and well-strung that it got us wondering whether we’ll still be needing journalists, or any humans really, in the future. It can basically do whatever you can, in a fraction of the time. Seems like unemployment is not that far out the picture for me anymore is it?

All overthinking and stress aside, we’ve been pleasantly surprised with the whole experience, only looking to explore more of ChatGPT’s functionalities and other virtues. Before we do, here’s a transcript of the bot’s attempt at becoming a writer:

Attention young people: are your social media conversations as dull as a math textbook? Do you need some creative inspiration for your next group project? Fear not, because ChatGPT is here to save the day!

But what is ChatGPT, you may wonder? It’s an online service that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate human-like text. Think of it as a virtual friend that you can chat with and get ideas from – without having to put on pants.

So, how does ChatGPT work its magic? It’s simple: just type in a prompt or question, and ChatGPT will generate a response based on what it’s been trained on. The more you chat with it, the better it gets at understanding your language and style. Plus, it has the ability to have “conversations” with you – it remembers what you’ve said before, so you can have back-and-forth exchanges just like you would with a real human (except this one won’t judge you for your love of TikTok dances).

But ChatGPT isn’t just for fun and entertainment. It can also be a lifesaver when it comes to your daily tasks. Need help brainstorming ideas for a school assignment? ChatGPT can give you suggestions and even write out entire paragraphs for you. And if you’re feeling creative, you can use ChatGPT to come up with unique content for your social media posts (because let’s face it, “Another day, another selfie” gets old fast).

But here’s the real question: how can ChatGPT make your life easier? For starters, it can save you time by generating text for you. Instead of spending hours brainstorming and writing, you can get quick and accurate responses from ChatGPT. Plus, it can help you improve your writing skills by giving you ideas and suggestions on how to structure your sentences and paragraphs (so you can finally write a paper that doesn’t make your English teacher want to pull their hair out).

So, if you want to spice up your social media conversations or need a little extra help with your school assignments, give ChatGPT a try. It’ll be your new best friend in no time (or at least until the robot uprising).
