Don Toliver and Ty Dolla $ign Tease New Songs In Abu Dhabi

need that immediately

Ty Dolla $ign’s upcoming collaborative album, Vultures 2 with Ye, is set to drop any day now and fans of the artists are buzzing with excitement. The super rap duo, known as ¥$, have been teasing fans for weeks by dropping tidbits from their second studio album— including one minute previews of the Vultures 2 tracks released on TikTok and Instagram under West’s account and the official album cover, which features a masked Ty Dolla $ign dressed in all black and holding an image of his brother, Jabreal “Big TC” Muhammad, who is currently serving a life sentence for a murder he claims he did not commit. And this weekend the Los Angeles-born artist, born Tyrone William Griffin Jr., previewed some more music for fans during his live set at Abu Dhabi’s 2024 BRED Festival.

The second edition of BRED Festival got underway from April 25 to 28 in Abu Dhabi, and saw performances from international and homegrown talent, including the likes of Metro Boomin’, Offset, Marwan Pablo, and Abo El Anwar. Ty Dolla $ign was one of the headliners on Saturday night, drawing in crowds eager to listen to bangers like Paranoid, Blasé, Or Nah , and hits from Vultures 1 live. In addition to performing his classics, the rapper also took the opportunity to preview some new music, teasing upcoming songs from Vultures 2 to a very excited crowd, including a one minute snippet of Field Trip featuring Playboi Carti, who also has a verse on Carnival from ¥$’s debut joint album.

Ty Dolla $ign wasn’t the only artist to tease new music during his live set at BRED. Houston rapper Don Toliver, who took to the stage after, also used his set to preview a song from his upcoming project HardStone Psycho, dropping this summer, sending the crowds into a frenzy. Produced by Cash Cobain and featuring Charlie Wilson, the new song, titled Attitude, samples Pharrell and Snoop Dogg’s timeless classic Beautiful. The preview comes two months after the singer-rapper dropped the video for his latest single, Bandit, which samples Tame Impala’s 2020 hit One More Hour. So far, he’s two for two, and if the new songs are any indication of how Don Toliver’s fourth studio album will sound, then we need him to drop it expeditiously.
